The NEW YORK FISHING TACKLE TRADE ASSOCIATION INC. (NYFTTA) was founded several years ago and through the efforts of its members has earned the attention and respect of the legislators and advisory bodies now governing our recreational fisheries. This organization was created to voice the concerns of the recreational fishing industry, to deal with problems common to our businesses and to promote the sport which supports our industry.

The Striper Surf Club, Inc., established in June of 1951, is one of the oldest active organized surf fishing clubs in New York State. The Striper Surf Club was formed when several members of the Coney Island Rod & Gun Club of Brooklyn, NY broke away to specialized in surf fishing for Striped Bass. On December 20, 1965 the Striper Surf Club incorporated as a domestic not-for-profit organization. It is now known as Striper Surf Club, Inc.

DeWitt Fish & Game Club is a membership organization, which has been in existence since the 1930's and has been located at 6560 Woodchuck Hill Road, Jamesville, NY since 1942. Since that time, DeWitt has established itself as the premier clay target-shooting club in Central New York. The beautiful expansive grounds, nestled within its tree lined border, contains seven Trap fields, four Skeet fields (1 is Wobble, 1 is International), a 5-Stand Sporting Clays field, a Rifle/Pistol Range, and an Archery Range. During its history, DeWitt Fish & Game Club has been host to State Skeet and Trap Championships, the National Sports Festival, Police Olympics, the Empire State Games, International Skeet and Trap, Biathlon Events, and the Syracuse Winter Festival. Local Olympic hopefuls have utilized DeWitt as their primary practice fields, as well.

The St. Lawrence River Walleye Association formed in 2006 as an incorporated non-profit organization for the purpose of organizing, promoting and fininacing the growth of Walleye fishing along the St. Lawrence River. (We now have 501C-3 status)

Activites are supported through membership fees, fundraising events, and grant funding. Net income is used to benefit the organization in support of its objectives. Objectives are to initiate and maintain a stocking program, awareness of invasive species, promote tourism, and to protect our fisheries and related natural resources.

The Niagara River Anglers Association was formed in 1982 by a handful of fishermen that believed the Niagara River needed some drastic attention like cleaner waters, better access, more fish stocking, youth and adult education, and better recreational opportunities along with a better understanding of our surrounding environment.

Diamond Sportsmen's Club Inc. was incorporated on July 12, 2000, as a Section 402 not-for-profit organization under New York State Law (Club by-laws). The club entered into a binding contract with Lothair Inc. to purchase the land once leased to Barney Pond Club.

Bailey Mountain Fish and Game Club, Inc. is located on Synders Lake Road in the Town of North Greenbush, New York. The club consists of approximately 35 acres. Club facilities include a club house, a covered picnic pavillion, a range for rifle and pistol, a stationary and walk through bow range, and a one station trap range.

The original Ilion Fish & Game Club was founded in 1907. The club grounds were actually located in downtown Ilion until 1926/27 when they bought the Avery farm located on Barringer Road (which was across from the 1808 Remington Stone House) using the old farm house as the clubhouse.
