Roscoe, NY - Trout Town USA

There are hundreds of books written about the Beaverkill and Willowemoc Rivers. Roscoe lies in the very heart of fresh water streams and has been designated as “Trout Town USA”. Brown trout are native to these rivers, but Brook Trout and Rainbow Trout are also numerous. Stocking of the rivers is handled by New York State Dept. of Conservation every spring but there continues to be a good proportion of wild fish throughout the fishery.
